During this stage:

  • Research your local marketplace
  • Consider if running a training centre aligns with your goals
  • Review our business model and support structure

INITIAL DISCUSSION
Initial Discussion

We'll arrange an introduction call to answer your questions and provide an overview of the partnership process.


Following this:

  • Pay the Intent to Proceed deposit
  • Receive your signed Intent to Proceed Letter
  • Begin exploring potential territories

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

Following our conversation, you’ll receive our essential documents:

  • Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
  • Initial Enquiry Form
  • Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)
  • Business plan template

Key tasks at this stage:

  • Consult a franchise lawyer to review the agreement
  • Prepare your business plan using our template
  • Appoint an accountant
  • Set up your limited company
  • Register with HMRC for VAT, PAYE and tax

DOCUMENT REVIEW

Once we receive your signed NDA and Initial Enquiry Form, we’ll schedule a call to:

  • Review the Franchise Disclosure Document
  • Discuss available territories in your preferred location
  • Address any questions you may have
  • Begin arrangements for business finance

Submit your financial documents for our review, which includes:

  • Credit and background checks
  • Business insurance arrangements (including Employer’s Liability and Public Liability cover)
  • Final financial preparations

OPERATIONS MEETING

Meet with our Operations Team to:

  • Learn about day-to-day centre management
  • Discuss premises requirements and locations
  • Review equipment and IT specifications
  • Plan your training schedule

TERRITORY AGREEMENT

We’ll finalise your:

  • Development territory
  • Centre opening schedule
  • Franchise agreements
  • Initial franchise fee payment

WELCOME ABOARD

After signing the agreements, you’ll begin:

  • Securing and fitting out your premises to brand standards
  • Ordering equipment and furnishings
  • Completing your training at our centre or head office
  • Recruiting your team
  • Implementing your launch marketing plan, including digital presence
  • Opening your centre for business

HOW LONG DOES THIS PROCESS TAKE?

From start to finish, we estimate that opening a Pitman Training™ franchise will take around 12 weeks, including an initial 1-week training period. We support Franchisees every step of the way through our pre-launch planning process with our “Getting Started Guide” and, of course, by delivering a fully detailed training programme.
